Durotech has had as many as 22 interns at a time and as a company we are geared toward internships for qualified intern candidates.
Our Internship is formally structured, but flexible in practice. You’ll be given responsibility and expected to perform. If you’re just looking for intern credits to graduate, we’re the wrong company. But if you want to be able to walk away with a hands-on grounding in construction experience and the confidence that you’ll be able to land on your feet in a fulltime career role, you’ll want to talk to us.
Durotech is structured for summer internships, 6 month internships, or full time internships for people still in school. Our internships are field-based and because our Superintendents both build the project and handle many normal project management functions, it combines both project controls and field management.
Durotech also has special Estimating summer / 6 month / co-op internship for qualified candidates who seek an estimating career. This internship combines field and estimating to give you a real world perspective on what it takes to be a good estimator.
Minimum overall 3.0 GPA. Some previous exposure to construction is valuable but not essential. Construction Management or Civil Engineering majors preferred but not essential. Jobsite location typically in Houston metro area. Responsible. Self-starter. Performance is expected. Character, Integrity, Work Ethic, Maturity, all required.
